Enter your name exactly as it appears in Latin letters on your passport. The name on your passport and IDP must match exactly. Mismatched info may result in pickup denial.

Bring these documents at pickup

  • Original International Driving Permit (IDP) — copies, PDFs, and photos are not accepted.
  • Your home country driver's license — Korean law requires this to be presented together with the IDP.
  • Passport (original) + the credit card used for payment.
  • Each additional driver must bring the same set of documents — no exceptions.
Korea only accepts IDPs issued under the 1949 Geneva or 1968 Vienna Convention. Drivers from non-signatory countries (e.g. China mainland) cannot rent.

Hong Kong and Macau (Geneva Convention) and Taiwan (mutual recognition with Korea) are accepted even though Mainland China is not. Vietnam is conditional — confirm before arrival.
